At Presbyterian Church of the Master, Owner and Pastor Robert Keefer teaches the value of Patience as well the Message of Peace. Omaha, NE, USA

Sunday, September 16th, 2018

The Presbyterian Church of the Master in Omaha, Nebraska has been helping to spread the message of Peace for over 20 years. With their first Peace Pole Planting on October 5, 1997, World Communion Sunday. The congregation celebrated by burying a time capsule and singing “Let there be Peace on Earth”.

Groundbreaking on new renovations. From L to R: Pastor Robert Keefer, Architect, Construction Manager, Youth from Congregation of Church of the Master, Omaha, NE

When it came time to renew their Symbol of Peace, The original Peace Pole needed to be removed during the ground breaking of renovations. This planned perfectly to be again on World Peace Sunday, October 2,2016.  In the Presbyterian Church, per www.presbyterianmission.org,”The first Sunday of October is designated as World Communion Sunday, which celebrates our oneness in Christ and all our Brothers and Sisters around the World”. A very powerful message to portray as they design and prepare their new Peace Pole for planting. This would be two years until they were ready to place.  Waiting on a significant day and for the Church renovations to be nearly complete,  the perfect spot on their new patio was chosen, “so all languages are visible”, Per Robert Keefer. A lesson in patience as well as Peace portrayed through his meticulous planning.

Newly Place Peace Pole on Patio for all to see languages of English, Spanish, Hebrew and Arabic.

Though this time the Planting was part of their “Back to Church Sunday” the message was the same and parishioners celebrated just as they had 21 years prior, with a chorus of “Let their be Peace on Earth”.

Beautiful grounds of Presbyterian Church of the Master.

The message that we are one is extremely valuable not only when we celebrate special occasions, such as this, but in our every day lives. The Presbyterian Church of the Master is extremely fortunate to have Pastor Bob and his teachings of Love and Acceptance.

Powerful message in planting of Peace Pole on Kinmen Island, ROC

Thursday, August 30th, 2018

There is a new addition to the Island of Kinmen, a small island off the coast of Taiwan. It is a Peace Pole which can be seen by the Island of Xiamen, PRC. A Peace Pole is symbolic in any geographical location, but has significant meaning amongst these post civil war torn Islands.

Kuniko, the planter of Peace Pole, and friends with Peace Pole on Kinmen Island

The Islands of Kinmen and Xiamen are making strides to come together to live harmoniously in Peace with one another.

On the Island of Kinmen which was heavily barricaded in 1949 against the incoming invasions.” There was a fierce battle caused by the gunfire of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army of the People’s Republic of China to Kimmonjim to invade the island” per Kuniko the planter of the Peace Pole.

Remnants of that battle can still be seen on Kinmen. Barricaded beaches and ports as well as structures strong enough to withstand the battle that lay ahead for those on the Island. Kuniko discusses “The building of that era which still remains now, after 50,000 shots a day, the shell is still alive.”

The significance is great and the message extremely powerful. May Peace Prevail between these Isles,  may both countries harmonize with each other.

Thank you to Kuniko for sharing this event and helping to spread the message of Peace.

“Peace Acupuncture for this World”- Peace Pole in Stockerau, AUSTRIA

May Peace Prevail on Earth
Dagmar Berkenberg
WPPS, Germany

Dear all, surely you already saw our peace pillar outside the Lutheran Church in Stockerau. In the beginning, some of you might have thought; “is this a new billboard?”

But when we placed the words on the Peace Pole last November, you all realized:   Peace is the Subject!   Möge Frieden auf Erden sein!

The common wish “May Peace Prevail on Earth”  will be the realization that people of all nations, traditions and religions begin to reflect and get closer with one another.

In our global society we cannot afford to only care for our own and condemn everything else as the foreigner – the stranger.

Worldwide there are thousands of similar peace reminders and monuments like his one,  in difference places, in a variety of  different materials, colors & shapes and in many many languages.

“Peace Acupuncture for this world”- This is the term our artist Mr. Leo Pfisterer refers to Peace Poles, that have been planted into the ground.

As Christians of the Protestant Church we do not think that planting a Peace Pole makes our world automatically more peaceful.

It would be wonderful if it was that simple.

A person who views the daily news or who simply walks through life with open eyes,  will quickly realize how human beings fight with one other on a small or large scale,

for such reasons such as hate, lust for power, jealousy, greed and how many are caught in a vicious circle of violence and terror.

How wonderful it would be, if we can change human beings.

Peace Picket Fence—bears the words,” May Peace Prevail On Earth” in a variety of languages and in an array of colors-Bavaria-GERMANY

Wednesday, March 29th, 2017

Here is another creative idea to add to our collection of great ways to spread the universal peace message, “May Peace Prevail On Earth.”

I was in touch with Judith Rösner, a homeopathic physician in Bavaria. Last autumn,  she contacted me to request various language translations of the peace message, “May Peace Prevail On Earth.”

She had an idea about a project that involved using a picket fence.

I just received a photograph of the fence.   She explained that the project is ongoing, so she will be adding more language translations!
