Peace Representative News: Peace Pole in Cape Town, SOUTH AFRICA

April 12th, 2010

Under a beautiful and sunny sky, students and teachers of the Michael Oak School in Cape Town, South Africa enthusiastically participated in a very moving Peace Pole Dedication and World Peace Flag Ceremony.

The  4-sided Peace Pole displays the message, May Peace Prevail On Earth, in:  English, Afrikaans, Xhosa and Japanese.  The Peace Pole was planted near the proposed new entrance of the school.

The following religious leaders were invited to represent the different sectors within the community; in attendance was a:  Rabbi, Swami, Brahmin Priest, Imam and Christian Minister.   Each one spoke to the children on the concept of Peace.

Attendees expressed that they were profoundly moved by the joyful and peaceful atmosphere generated by the World Peace Flag Ceremony!

With much love, fondness and best wishes,
Susan Kaschula, WPPS, Peace Representative in South Africa
