April 29th, 2010

Since 1926 the Girl Scouts have celebrated “World Thinking Day.” Each year the Scouts take part in activities with international themes to honor all the other Girl Scouts and Girl Guides in the nearly 150 countries where the program exists. This year the Heart Of The Hudson Girl Scout Council, serving seven counties in New York State, USA and more than 34,000 members, held their event at Unionvale Middle School in Lagrangeville, NY. The World Peace Prayer Society presented a World Peace Flag Ceremony with all the girls in attendance participating as flag bearers. Girl Scout Leader, Amelia Roger, the coordinator of the evening’s event said, “The Ceremony was definitely the highlight and will be remembered by all for years to come.”
