The International Center for Ethno-Religious Mediation produced an event entitled Pray for Peace at the Interchurch Center in New York City. On November 2-3, 2016, more than one hundred conflict resolution scholars, practitioners, policymakers, religious leaders, and students from diverse fields of study and professions from more than 15 countries gathered for the 3rd Annual International Conference on Ethnic and Religious Conflict Resolution and Peacebuilding, and the Pray for Peace event – a multi-faith, multi-ethnic, and multi-national prayer for global peace. Rev. Deborah Moldow was invited as a guest speaker, bringing along a Peace Pole that was prominently featured throughout the event.

A highlight was the presentation of an award presented by ICERM president Basil Ugorji to the “Interfaith Amigos,” a rabbi, an imam and a minister dedicated to interfaith harmony.

Deborah was delighted to meet again Rabbi Ted Falcon and Imam Jamal Rahman, whom she had met at Mt. Fuji during the launch event for the Fuji Declaration and Symphony of Peace Prayers in May 2015. Both men of cloth gave uplifting presentations that left everyone with great hope for the future.
