Kaleidoscope at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York is the international food festival of the year and the biggest annual event sponsored by VISA, held during the International Education Week.
The event begins with a Flag Ceremony presented by staff of The World Peace Sanctuary, headquarters of The World Peace Prayer Society.
Students of each nationality come up with their country’s flag and share interesting cultural information.
In addition to enjoying international food, refreshments and desserts, winners of the International Photo Competition are announced and students compete their talents in the World’s Got Talent Show/Competition, and the Dessert Cook-Off competition takes place.
This multi-cultural event provides an opportunity for faculty and students to cook desserts together and join in other activities to strengthen their familiarity outside of the classroom, as well as mixing with staff members.
