Peace Rep Mojima Etokudo Celebrates IDP, Obong Ntak, Etim Ekpo, Nigeria

The Right to Peace, Nigeria’s celebration of the International Day of Peace, September 21, 2018

Peace Representative Mojima Etokudo of Nigeria worked with the World Peace Prayer Society in organizing this year’s International Day of Peace celebration.

Mojima writes:

The annual World Peace Day was held on September 21 at Obong Christian High School, Obong Ntak, Nigeria with the theme “The Right To Peace”

A keynote address was delivered by the Nigerian Peace Representative Mr Mojima Etokudo while Mr Joseph Boaz delivered a lecture on the theme of the years event.

The event took place at Obong Christian High School in the presence of prominent government leaders, community representatives, teachers and local citizens. 

The Principal of Obong Christian High School Mr Esang Akpanudo in his welcome address thank the United Nations and the WPPS team for considering his school a hosting right.

Ambassador Effiong Udoekong read the UN Secretary General Mr Antonio Guterres Address while Mrs Chioma Akpanudo read the WPPS Executive Director Fumi Johns Stewart address.

Mojima states, “Let’s pray for peace in war torn areas. Say NO to war and inequality. But YES to Peace.  May Peace be in our Homes and Communities. May Peace Prevail On Earth.”

A World Peace Prayer Ceremony was the highlight of the event were the Obong Christian High School students raised the Flags of the 192 UN member countries as was directed by the Nigerian Peace Representative and prayers was offered by all for each of the country and the universal prayer for peace “May Peace Prevail on Earth” was recited by all.

A Peace song I composed entitled “O God of Love, Oct King of Peace” was sung by all.

A token of Exercise Book, Pen, and Pencil was donated to the students.

The event was attended by Religious leaders, Traditional Rulers, Members from the academia, Political class, Students and members of the press.
