The original Peace Pole was dedicated in 2003.
After many years of serving the people it was time to update the Peace Pole so we may add additional sister city languages to the Peace Pole.

The 6-sided, 6-foot Peace Pole is handcrafted from local cedar, cypress and pine, and capped with a cypress knee (root of a Cypress tree) that takes on many forms depending on the light.
