The year the message “May Peace Prevail On Earth” was included in the Tri-Town Memorial Day Parade for Ulster County New York. The parade included the Townships of Plattekill, Modena and Wallkill. The parade would end at the Thomas Felton Park. The Thomas Felton Park is the site where a Peace Pole dedication will take place in September 2008 at the 2008 Plattekill Day event.

Twelve year old, Amanda D’Agostino took the initiative to raise $405.00 to have a Peace Pole installed in the Thomas Felton Park. The Plattekill Historical Society invited Amanda to ride in the truck in front of the Peace Pole as an honored guest. Amanda was happily waving at the spectators, as they applauded for “May Peace Prevail On Earth.”
