WPPS Peace Representative, Melvin Giles gifts the “seed of peace” Peace Pole to Majora Carter, Executive Director and Founder of Sustainable South Bronx.

 Peace Pole Dedication held at the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize Festival.The Como students from the local high school along with local government and community members attended the Festival to hear keynote speakers, such as Majora Carter who is the Executive Director and Founder of Sustainable South Bronx in New York and Laureate Scientist, Richard Alley.Mini Peace Poles were gifted to the Speakers and Special Guests.
