Submitted by Keiko Lewis – May Peace Prevail On Earth

Dear Peace Friends,
I would like to share the lovely Peace Pole planting ceremony at Cynthia’s Kindergarten which was held on August 11, 2008.

The ceremony began with the native Indian flute music played by Eloiwa.

The children shared their images, words & artworks – called “What Does Peace Look Like?” They are magnificent…they talked about sharing and taking care of everyone & nature. A boy said, “I will convince the president to stop the wars. I would say, talk to them and please stop fighting!”

The children sang beautiful songs with Cynthia then a Peace Pole, inscribed with the message May Peace Prevail On Earth inscribed in English, Japanese, French and Navajo, was planted at the front garden. They made beautiful stepping stones that surrounded the Peace Pole.

Sending you Infinite Love and Gratitude from Sandpoint, Idaho.
