Plattekill Peace Pole Dedication-September 21, 2008

Plattekill is a town in Ulster County, New York, USA. The Township is situated between the Shawangunk Mountains and the Hudson River, the town of Plattekill. The name is derived from a stream, the Plattekill. The five official village hamlets include: Ardonia, Clintondale, Modena, New Hurley, and Plattekill.

The Message May Peace Prevail On Earthin English, Spanish, Italian, Japanese and Braille were proudly displayed on a Recycled Peace Pole, crafted at The World Peace Sanctuary.

12-year old Amanda D’Agostino had spent the last year raising money on her own to have a Peace Pole installed in the Thomas Felton Park. She was able to raise a considerable amount of money with support from the Rotary Club.
