“In keeping with the principles and purposes of the Unitarian Universalist Association, especially our sixth principle, The goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all, the idea to erect a Peace Pole at BUUF was put forth by several members in early 2009. The idea became a project of the Thursday Chalice Circle and the Everyday Spirituality and Meaningful Ritual Chalice Circle. After much planning and hard work, the Peace Pole was erected in early 2010.” Jay Wechselberger, Membership Co-chair, Boise Unitarian Universalist Association
