Times Square Peace Party – Sept. 15 New York City-USA
September 15, 2015
On Tuesday, September 15 at 11:30 a.m., Paul Sladkus of Good New Broadcast organized a Peace Party in Times Square to promote the upcoming International Day of Peace.
The tourists from around the world were invited to form a human peace sign around a Peace Pole in the center.
The Peace Pole was part of the Youth Arts Peace Pole project, beautifully painted by students from Arlington High School in Lagrangeville, NY.
Participants held the flags of all nations – many were excited to find the flag of their country of origin – as peacemakers shared their visions of peace.
Deborah Moldow, the World Peace Prayer Society’s UN Representative, led everyone in reciting, “May Peace Prevail on Earth,” a theme throughout the Peace Party, which concluded with everyone singing along to uplifting songs.
Paul Sladkus held additional Peace Parties at the 14th Annual Vigil for International Peace and Ecology in Central Park on September 20 and at the Brooklyn War Memorial, Cadman Plaza Park on September 21.
