Each year, during the Week of Spirituality, Values & Global Concerns, the NGO Committee on Spirituality and Global Concerns-NY offers the Spirit of the United Nations award to representatives of the UN community, including an ambassador, a UN staff member and an NGO. Deborah Moldow was the co-recipient with Monica Willard in 2009.

This year, Rev. Deborah was invited to offer the opening invocation. She invoked the Spirit of Peace and invited all present to repeat, “May Peace Prevail on Earth.”
