World Peace Flag Ceremony at The Booth Free School. Roxbury, CT USA

On November 12th, 2019 Booth Free School in Roxbury, Connecticut celebrated a World Peace Flag Ceremony with the entire student population. The Ceremony was led by Jim Dugan of The World Peace Sanctuary in Wassaic, NY; home to May Peace Prevail On Earth International.

During the Flag Ceremony every student had a chance to carry a flag from one of the nations on our planet and shout “May Peace Prevail On Earth”

The students learned about the importance of the time we are living in, how every decision each of us makes has an impact on our environment. They were also taught tangible actions to create a more sustainable future and the importance of peace on our planet.

This wonderful school nestled in the Litchfield Hills teaches students ranging from kindergarten to fifth grade. Having been in operation since the early 1800’s, the Booth Free School strives to “develop engaged citizens”, “promote respect and acceptance of diverse ideas” and “recognize one’s potential and individual responsibility in a global society”. 

The School will be planting a Peace Pole on their campus in the Spring.
