We completed 3 days of dedication events on Thursday, November 17th, with members, donors, the media and the community. This is the garden renovation Byron and I, along with others, have been working on for over a year now.
The Rose Haven Garden is now included in the Peace Pole Project international map. 😊

Story:
One of our founding members, Rebecca Weersing, shared her vision of a Peace and Friendship Garden with us in late 2020. Our members contributed over 1400 volunteer hours over the past year to the renovation of the beautiful Garden you see today.
It includes a completely new irrigation system, major weeding, soil enrichment, curving pathways, over 140 new and transplanted roses, a new pergola, and of course the feature of the Peace and Friendship Garden, the six Peace Poles.
The international Peace Pole Project guidance and experience provided the details and structure we needed to move forward. Their enthusiasm for the scope of the project has made our journey even more special.
Today, 11/17/2022, we celebrate planting 6 Peace Poles. “May Peace Prevail on Earth”, is represented in 43 predominant languages spoken in our community, including American Sign Language and Braille.
