The Altenberge Children’s Rights Park gets artists created Peace Pole – Altenberge, GERMANY

Attached I am sending you a photo from the municipality of Altenberge. The Mayor of our community, Karl Reinke, joined the Mayors for Peace initiative last year and suggested setting up a Peace Pole. Since November 20th, 2023, the Peace Pole has been centrally located in the town center at the entrance to the Altenberge Children’s Rights Park. Various groups of children and young people were involved in the design throughout the year.

The Kulturwerkstatt Altenberge e.V. invited people to design the individual elements as part of various projects, whose youth creative workshop belongs to the youth art school association. The artists involved were Moritz Stork, Martina Brückener and Stefan Rosendahl. The inauguration of the park and the Peace Pole took place on International Children’s Rights Day with the participation of many children.
