Planting the Friends’ Peace Pole was a highlight of our 2023 year because it joined the 50 other Peace Poles that have been dedicated in Atlanta & surrounding suburbs.

After years of volunteer work, I have finally retired, but I am always available by phone, text, or email to answer questions & support the continuing work of May Peace Prevail On Earth, International, located in New York State, which originated in Japan after the bombings in Hiroshima. & Nagasaki.
Also, people are invited to visit the Decatur House where we have labyrinth gardens surrounding the Peace Pole. In our East Lake neighborhood we have dedicated many Peace Poles, like at Drew Charter School, Atlanta Masjid & Villages of East Lake to name a few. There is also a Peace Pole @ Little Five Points on Moreland Ave. near the Vortex Restaurant. During the 1996 Summer Olympics we added a Peace Wall on Euclid that displays 2000 peoples’ visions of peace on ceramic tiles behind Arden’s Garden store.
