February 19, 2025
Congratulations to Kovsar Gurban, 11 (10 at the time of the contest) of Azerbaijan. Kovsar has participated in the Peace Pals Art Exhibition and Awards contest since she was 7, making this her fourth year. We are so happy to see her beautiful artwork every year and even more proud as we learn of her other accomplishments.

We were delighted to receive photos of Kovsar’s award ceremony at her school, Child and Youth Development Center No. 3, in Baku, Azerbaijan.

and her cousins Sabira and Rena.

Kovsar and her sister, and cousins have always participated in many of our programs, including our request for both Kovsar and Inji to briefly talk about what Unity meant to them. This was featured on Unity Earth.
Congratulations to Azerbaijan, who won first place among 14 countries in the International Space Poster Competition. Kovsar came first among participants from 14 countries at the prestigious APRSAF-30 International Space Poster Competition in Perth, Australia. This was jointly organized by the Australian Space Agency and the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA). We are so proud of Kovsar, as I am sure her family and country are.
