Peace Pole Planted at Huerto Roma Verde, Mexico City – MEXICO

April 1, 2025

It has been a privilege to work with Alexander and Rama of Home for Humanity as they embarked on their incredible world tour to build a community of homes worldwide. Their journey has taken them across Africa, Asia, and Oceania. Through this initiative, they bring people together, create a global family of homes, and leave lasting symbols of unity and peace wherever they go.

The ‘Home for Humanity’ movement is a heartfelt initiative dedicated to fostering a deeper connection between individuals and their living spaces by embracing simplicity, mindfulness, and eco-conscious living. It promotes the idea that home is not just a physical place but a sanctuary for personal growth, sustainability, and community.

Mexico was the first country on their list, where they visited an eco-village called Huerto Roma Verde. In their Unity Park, they planted a Peace Pole to symbolize their commitment to becoming a family of a “Home for Humanity.”  This Peace Pole marked the first Peace Pole planting of more to follow as they continued to embark on their six-month journey.

Huerto Roma Verde is an advanced-thinking eco-village. Today, they are the flagship of the environmental movement, urban permaculture, and community development.

The Geo BioSystemic Paradigm System was proposed to promote the metabolism of a community or city’s common biosocial well-being. It was born as a counterproposal to the prevailing paradigms in different spheres of public and community life that have led to our current way of life.

Approximately fifty people attended the Peace Pole dedication, which included Deborah Moldow, guests from various Non-Governmental Organizations in and out of Mexico, and community members.

During the Peace Pole dedication musical ceremony, they chanted (“May Peace Prevail On Earth” in Spanish), “Que la Paz prevalence en la tierra.”  It was a sacred ceremony using drums, flutes, and the burning of sage.
