They have a mobile Peace Pole there and use it a great deal. They either roll it outside the laboratory or roll it to events, equivalent to the Monday peace prayer in the nearby Nikolai Church. That church is known to all Germans because as early as 1982 peace activists, environmental campaigners and human rights groups began to organize regular prayers for peace each Monday at St. Nicholas Church. After the Monday prayers on October 9, 1989, more than 70,000 people had assembled in Leipzig to protest, and this led to the fall of the Berlin wall!

Ute and Margret help to spread the Peace Pole Project to the young people.

Thank you, Ladies! May Peace prevail in Leipzig!
