A Vigil for Peace at Stone’s Crown Meadow, Staffordshire, UNITED KINGDOM

April 13, 2024

Organisers from the Stone Quakers told A Little Bit of Stone.

They invited people to join to remember all those caught up in war and violence and to reflect on what we can do to promote a more peaceful world.

The vigil will be largely silent but with some readings and prayers to guide our thoughts.

Stone Quakers are one of seven Quaker meetings in Staffordshire that this year celebrate the 400th anniversary of the founder of their movement, a man called George Fox. In this year of global conflict, they want to emphasise their commitment to creating a more peaceful world. This small event is a chance to find out who Quakers are and what they believe in.
