This is the second Peace Pole installation the Rotary Club has sponsored. The first Peace Pole was placed at the Middleboro Unitarian Universalist Church, 25 South Main St.

The Peace Pole bears the message “May Peace Prevail On Earth’’ in multiple languages, including Braille and sign.

Club members report that the Peace Pole’s message promotes unity, encourages reflection, celebrates cultural diversity, and serves as a reminder to think, speak and act in the spirit of peace and harmony.
