St. Genevieve celebrates Catholic Schools Week, Flourtown, PA-USA

February 3rd, 2012

On a sunny Wednesday afternoon the students at St. Genevieve School in Flourtown, gathered in the courtyard around the “Peace Pole.” With peace written in multiple languages on it, the Peace Pole serves as an inspirational sight for students, who stood around it singing patriotic songs and participating in a prayer service to celebrate the USA and bring its meaning to life.

“This was for the nation and we were also praying for peace, for our world,” school Principal Sister Theresa Maugle said as two students carried the flags back inside.

What Sister Theresa referred to as Celebrate the Nation Day is part of a larger celebration for the 39th Catholic Schools Week.
